Services Provided: Principal author for a Development of Regional Impact (DRI)
application, strategic plan, and zoning application for 11,000 acres. Extensive
research and collaborative efforts for the master concept plan preparation. Project
representation and public workshops and with the review agencies. Once this
property was chosen for the Florida Gulf Coast University, the project was revamped
and now includes two approved DRIs.

Services Provided: Dual roles on this innovative mixed use project. Author of two
versions of a new land development code land use category for this development
and proposed amendments to other sections of the City codes. One version is
conventional and the other is form-based. Extensive coordination with the site
designers in their development of the Pattern Book for the project.

Services Provided: Lead planner on a multi-disciplinary team securing DRI and
local zoning approval for this regional mall property. Developed the zoning concept
plans with the developer and architect’s input. Extensive issue research and
responses to staff opinion that the project was not compatible with the
Comprehensive Plan. Multiple days before the Hearing Examiner with new issues
posed by staff as the hearing progressed. A full day of testimony and a PowerPoint
presentation. Endless and creative responses to issues. Project was approved by
Lee County and is currently under construction.

Submitted and negotiated a re zoning and DRI application for a golf course
community and commercial site design. Collaborated with the golf course architect
and other team members in developing segments of the master concept plan.
Extensive coordination with the airport regarding a Chapter 150 study. Project
manager/DRI coordinator for the 500-acre addition to Miromar Lakes and a related
comprehensive plan amendment. Extensive work with the local planning and zoning
staff members and with and DCA. In both cases, testified before the LPA, Hearing
Examiner and Board of County Commissioners.
